Label Love: House of Harlow 1960 Handbags

We all know how cute and relatable Nicole Richie’s personal style is, being part Bohemian, part Hippie, and all chic. The designer, who is known in the fashion world for her jewelry, footwear, eyewear and contemporary women’s line Winter Kate, says handbags were always part of the equation. “We just needed to make sure all of the components were aligned before setting foot into that category…. I wanted to make sure that each piece is special and then be able to grow it slowly and organically season after season,” she says. It’s apparent Richie’s personal style was taken into account when designing the line with it’s use of vintage leather, fringes and even crystallized jaguar heads as hardware. The line is available now for pre-sale via singer22.com, and isn’t hitting department stores until Mid-July. {source: WWD}

Label Love: Vans Sneakers

Gentlemen, if there’s one thing I’ve noticed since moving to LA, it’s the lack of originality I see in most men’s wardrobes. Granted, LA dudes have a bit more style than the average Midwesterner, but how couldn’t they considering the wide array of options. Is it so tough to say… wear a little color? maybe add an accessory? Seriously, the first guy that sparks my interest and has some style, might just win my heart. Fellas, as I’m sure you know, shoes are the FIRST things chics notice. So why settle for sub-par? Since most guys I know can’t splurge on the really good stuff {i.e. Pierre Hardy, Balenciaga, and so on} Vans is a great option for the stylish dude on a budget. They’ve come a long way since they’re classic slip-on. Here are a few favorites:
